Demonpion Denis
Biography
Denis Demonpion was born in 1954. After a variety of odd jobs, he went to work for Paris Match, where he was the drama critic for 10 years. From there, he moved on to AFP, where, after going from the photo department to the economic service, he was in charge of the justice column for General News. After two years as AFP’s correspondent in Rome and then Milan, he went back to France to run the General News service of the national daily "Liberation". In 1996, he joined the staff of the weekly magazine "Le Point". An indiscreet and remarkably well-documented biography of the most-translated French author of recent years: Houellebecq. A captivating investigation, this authentic manhunt has been rendered in a wonderfully novelistic style.
